Welcome to the Bass Coast Shire Kindergarten Central Registration form. This registration form is the first step toward getting your child into kindergarten in Bass Coast Shire.
The information collected in this form will be used to allocate your child to a place in a kindergarten service. Please complete a registration form for each child you would like to register for kindergarten.
Only kindergartens that participate in the central registration system are included in this allocation process. A full list of these kindergartens and their indicative programs are provided in the registration form below.
Once you have accepted a kindergarten place you will be required to complete an enrolment form with your allocated Kindergarten.
Further information is available here.
Kindergarten Fees
Kindergarten fees are part funded by the State Government. Most families will be required to pay fees. Kindergarten fees are set by individual kindergarten service providers. Please contact your preferred kindergarten service to find out their fees.
Some families are eligible for the Kindergarten Fee Subsidy (KFS), meaning they have access to free kindergarten and/or Early Start Kindergarten. Further information on who is eligible for the KFS is provided in the registration form.
The following Kindergarten Providers offer their kindergarten program as part of a long day care place and charge a daily rate. If your child attends kindergarten in one of these programs you might be eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). You can contact your preferred kindergarten for more information on fees or visit https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/individuals/services/centrelink/child-care-subsidy/who-can-get-it for further information on CCS eligibility.

Priority of access
The Department of Education dictates that Central Registration prioritises the inclusion of children with additional needs, children of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background, asylum seeker and refugee families with an appropriate visa, children known to Child Protection and children applying for a second year of kindergarten. Families that demonstrate that they have a child in one of these categories will be allocated to a kindergarten program as a high priority.
Following Department of Education Priority of Access, allocations are made in accordance with Central Registration Guidelines
