Thank you for choosing a Meli kindergarten for the care and education of your child. Meli kindergartens offer 3 and 4 year old kindergarten programs.

Please note, this is a application form only. It is not confirmation of a kindergarten place.

Free kindergarten is provided for all children.

Please note the following children are given priority for a kindergarten place

are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, or
hold or has a parent/guardian who holds a Commonwealth Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card, Veteran’s Affairs Card, or
are a multiple birth child (triplets or more), or
holds or has a parent/guardian who holds a Humanitarian or Refugee Visa

When to start kindergarten

Please note that your child cannot start kindergarten until they have had their third birthday

To start Three-Year-Old Kindergarten, your child must turn 3 by 30 April in the year they will attend kindergarten

To start Four-Year-Old Kindergarten, your child must turn 4 by 30 April in the year they will attend kindergarten.

Please note that applications for a Meli kindergarten is currently open for 2024, 2025 and 2026 only. Applications for 2027 will open early in 2025

Children are only eligible for one funded year of three-year-old Kindergarten and one funded year of four-year-old Kindergarten (unless they meet the eligibility criteria for a second year of four-year-old Kindergarten).
