Lutheran Education VIC, NSW, TAS and ACT Ltd (LEVNT) is the Approved Provider for Lutheran Kindergartens in Victoria. Applications for all Victorian Kindergarten services are received through the LEVNT Kindergarten Enrolment Officer and allocated to individual services once a position has been offered, accepted and the child allocated to a group for the following year.

We recommend families visit individual services for a tour prior to submitting an application, though this is not a requirement of our enrolment process.

When choosing the year your child will start kindergarten, please make use of the Department of Education’s ‘Starting Age Calculator’ at https://www.vic.gov.au/when-start-kindergarten. The Service Leader at the kindergarten you are hoping to attend is always happy to speak with you and provide further information about this important decision.

Supporting documentation you will need (where applicable) includes:
- Court order/s if applicable.
- Concession Card if applicable.
- Immunisation History Statement.
- Letter from appropriate professional or support agency verifying your child is assessed as having additional needs, a disability or developmental delay if applicable.
- Copy of NDIS plan if applicable.
- Medical documentation displaying a professional diagnosis for your child if applicable.
- Letter from a case manager or support agency verifying how your child meets high priority criteria if applicable.

Early Start Kindergarten

Early Start Kindergarten gives eligible children 15 hours of free or low-cost kindergarten a week for 2 years before starting school.

To be eligible, your child must be 3 by 30 April in the year they start kindergarten, and:
- be from a refugee or asylum seeker background,
- identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander,
- your family has had contact with child protection,
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families can learn about the benefits of kindergarten, including how services create culturally safe places for Koorie children and families, and how to enrol in free or low-cost kindergarten for three-and four-year-old children through Koorie Kids Shine.

Pre-Prep

4-Year-Old Kinder hours are increasing in stages, with programs across Victoria increasing from 15 to 30 hours each week by 2036.'

The first children eligible for additional hours are:
- children who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander;
- children from a refugee or asylum seeker background; and
- children who have had contact with Child Protection.

Under the ‘No Jab, No Play’ legislation, before enrolling a child, early childhood education and care services have to first obtain evidence that the child is up to date with all vaccinations that are due for their age, or that they are able to receive.

An Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) is the only form of documentation accepted for the purpose of enrolling in an early childhood education and care service.

After enrolment, parents will need to continue to provide up to date Immunisation History Statements to their child’s early childhood service, if their status changes.

You can get your immunisation history statement straight away by accessing your medicare online account via my.gov.au

If you can't use Medicare online, we can print your immunisation history statement for you.

You can also call the AIR enquiries line (1800 653 809) and ask them to send your immunisation history statement to you. It can take up to 14 days to arrive in the post.

Please note: Only Immunisation History Statements from the Australian Immunisation Register will be accepted as evidence of immunisation.

- All information provided by me may be audited at any time. This registration or subsequent kindergarten allocation could be reallocated or withdrawn if the information is incorrect
- Failure to provide complete and correct information may result in the registration being excluded from the allocation process
- This is a registration form and does not guarantee a three or four-year-old kindergarten placement
- Three and four-year-old kindergarten places are allocated separately. Every effort will be made to place my child at the same service for four-year-old kindergarten. However, there is no guarantee of this.
- I can be contacted by LEVNT from time to time with information regarding relevant events, issues and services
- To participate in the LEVNT Registration Scheme my personal information will be shared securely with the preferred kindergarten service provider nominated by me on this or subsequent forms

This information is being collected by Lutheran Education VIC, NSW, TAS and ACT Ltd to enable processing of your child's kindergarten enrolment application. The handling of personal information will be conducted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
