Kindergarten registration and enrolment is a 4-STEP process.
Step 1: Families register their preferred kindergarten services (this is not an enrolment)
Step 2: Council allocates kindergarten places (not groups/sessions).
Step 3: Council emails offers, or where a service has more registrations than places, waitlist notifications are issued.
Step 4: Families accept the offer and finalise the enrolment details, nominating preferred group/sessions, directly with the kindergarten. This is now an enrolment.
Note: A registration does not guarantee a kindergarten place. While every effort is made to allocate all registrations, when there are more registrations than places available, State Government Priority of Access and Bayside Allocation Criteria are applied. If your child does not receive an offer, you will be notified that your child is on the waitlist and council will advise your options.
