  • City of Greater Bendigo Central Registration and Enrolments Scheme collects kindergarten registration requests on behalf of kindergartens located in the shire.

    Please make sure you have read the registration information before registering your child. Refer to the City of Greater Bendigo website for further details.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION

    Children enrolling for a 3-year-old program must have turned 3 by April 30th of the year they start but cannot attend the service until their third birthday.

    Use the starting-age calculator to see when your child can start 3-year-old kindergarten.

    Children enrolling for a 4-year-old program must turn 4 by April 30th of the year they start but can commence from the start of the year.

    To update or make changes to an existing kindergarten registration, please contact the Kindergarten Registrations Team on 03 5434 6352 or kinder.enrolments@Bendigo.vic.gov.au. PLEASE DO NOT COMPLETE A NEW REGISTRATION

    Sessional Kindergarten

    • Set days and hours only
    • Operates during the school term
    • Free

    Kindergarten in Long Day Care

    • Long, flexible hours
    • Open most of the year
    • Fees involved which will be reduced with subsidy
    • Kinder program operates within the childcare setting
    • Suits families who need full‑day care

    Children enrolled in a funded kindergarten program are eligible to access a repeat year of funded 3 or 4 year old kindergarten, only if the early childhood teacher has assessed eligibility for your child to be considered for a second year.

  • Under the ‘No Jab, No Play’ legislation, before enrolling a child, early childhood education and care services have to first obtain evidence that the child is up to date with all vaccinations that are due for their age, or that they are able to receive.

    An Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) is the only form of documentation accepted for the purpose of enrolling in an early childhood education and care service.

    After enrolment, parents will need to continue to provide up to date Immunisation History Statements to their child’s early childhood service, if their status changes.  

    You can get your immunisation history statement straight away by accessing your medicare online account via my.gov.au or contact City of Greater Bendigo Immunisations on https://www.bendigo.vic.gov.au/forms/request-immunisation-information

    You can also call the AIR enquiries line (1800 653 809) and ask them to send your immunisation history statement to you. It can take up to 14 days to arrive in the post.

    Please note: Only Immunisation History Statements from the Australian Immunisation Register will be accepted as evidence of immunisation.

    The personal information provided in this form is being collected by the Council for the purpose of kindergarten registration and enhancing early years services within the City of Greater Bendigo. The personal information will be used only for these purposes or for purposes directly related to them. All data will be handled confidentially. CRES and the following may share this information with relevant government bodies, council organisations, Maternal Child Health, Immunisation services, kindergarten managers and educators, and early years services to support the enrolment process and funding.
