  • Kindergarten Registration Form

    Please complete this form to register your child for 3-Year Old or 4-Year Old kindergarten. After allocations are finalised, you will receive an offer by email. Your kindergarten will then contact you regarding enrolment.

  • Kindergarten places are allocated using State Government Priority of Access Guidelines and Mildura local Priority Allocation criteria.

    Registrations must be received by 31 July to be considered in the first round of kindergarten offers. Registrations received after this date will be considered a late registration and will be offered in future rounds. The offer process continues through out the year, less places are available in subsequent rounds.

     

    Kindergarten registration and enrolment process.

    Registration

    • Step 1: Families register their preferred kindergarten sessions (this is not an enrolment)
    • Step 2: Mildura CRES allocates, places, and offers your child a kindergarten session via an email.*
    • Step 3: Families accept or decline the offer.


    Enrolment (after offer is accepted)

    • Step 4: Kindergarten services will contact families to complete their enrolment and provide dates for orientation and commencement. All enrolment information will be managed directly by the kindergarten service with families.

    *A registration does not guarantee a kindergarten place. While every effort is made to allocate all registrations, when there are more registrations than places available, State Government Priority of Access and Mildura Local Criteria are applied. If your child does not receive an offer, you will be notified that your child is on the waitlist and council will advise your options.

    Age Requirements

    Children enrolling for a 3-year-old program must have turned 3 by April 30 but cannot attend the service until their third birthday.

    Use the starting-age calculator to see when your child can start 3-year-old or 4-year-old kindergarten.

    Children enrolling for a 4-year-old program must turn 4 by April 30 and can commence at the start of the year.

    Please note that when you receive a kindergarten offer, an Immunisation History
    Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register (the only documentation
    accepted) will need to be provided directly to the kindergarten to finalise your
    child’s enrolment in their service as part of the Government’s No Jab No Play laws.

    *You do not need to provide your Immunisation History Statement to register now. The kindergarten will ask you to provide one as part of their enrolment.

  • Due to the State Government policy No Jab No Play your child may not secure an enrolment place in a funded Kindergarten program if proof of immunisation cannot be provided.

  • Kindergarten Programs with Integrated Long Day Care

    Mildura CRES manages integrated kindergarten registrations for Montessori Mildura and Montessori Irymple Long Day Care Service.

    Long Day Care Services provide integrated kindergarten programs as part of their overall care. There may be some out of pocket costs for families depending on their childcare subsidy percentage. Families with lower income may only need to pay a small gap fee.

    Children enrolled in a funded kindergarten program are eligible to access a second year of funded 3 year old kindergarten only if the early childhood teacher has assessed eligibility for your child to be considered for a second year.
