Kindergarten places are allocated using State Government Priority of Access Guidelines and Mildura local Priority Allocation criteria.
Registrations must be received by 31 July to be considered in the first round of kindergarten offers. Registrations received after this date will be considered a late registration and will be offered in future rounds. The offer process continues through out the year, less places are available in subsequent rounds.
Kindergarten registration and enrolment process.
Registration
- Step 1: Families register their preferred kindergarten sessions (this is not an enrolment)
- Step 2: Mildura CRES allocates, places, and offers your child a kindergarten session via an email.*
- Step 3: Families accept or decline the offer.
Enrolment (after offer is accepted)
- Step 4: Kindergarten services will contact families to complete their enrolment and provide dates for orientation and commencement. All enrolment information will be managed directly by the kindergarten service with families.
*A registration does not guarantee a kindergarten place. While every effort is made to allocate all registrations, when there are more registrations than places available, State Government Priority of Access and Mildura Local Criteria are applied. If your child does not receive an offer, you will be notified that your child is on the waitlist and council will advise your options.
